Materials Needed
- 1 – 6 inch long piece of 20 gauge round wire
- 1 – 10 inch long piece of 20 gauge round wire
- 2 – 22 inch long pieces of 24 gauge round wire
- 2 – 29 inch long pieces of 24 gauge round wire
- 3 – 8mm beads
- 1 – 6mm bead
- 22 – 4mm beads
Tools need
- Flush cutters
- Round nose pliers
- Flat or chain nose pliers
Instructions

Step 1
Grasp one end of the 6 inch long piece of 20 gauge wire with the round nose pliers and make a loop in the end of the wire.
Center the loop on the end of the wire so it looks like a long head pin.

Step 2
Put the 3 8mm beads on the wire, follow with the 6mm bead, then put 10 4mm beads on the wire.

Step 3
Bend both 22 inch long wires in halve.
Wrap the wire around the 20 gauge wire right next to the 4mm beads one at a time.

Step 4
Pick a side to start on then take the 24 gauge wire on that side furthest away from the 4mm beads and follow the sides of the beads for 2 beads and then wrap once around the 20 gauge wire going thru the bead once.
The wire should be going to the other side of the beads then where it started.

Step 5
Take the 24 gauge wire on the opposite side of the last one furthest away from the beads and run it up the other side of the beads.
Wrap it around the 20 gauge wire right by the last wire wrapped around.

Step 6
Take the 24 gauge wire from the first side and wrap right under the 1st wire on that side.
Wrap once around the middle wire above where the other 2 wires are wrapped.

Step 7
Take the last 24 gauge wire and wrap around the side of the 2 beads then around the middle wire like the other 3 wires.

Step 8
Repeat 4 more times always starting on the same side.
The middle wire may need to be pulled up at the original loop to allow room for wrapping the wires around the wire going thru the beads.

Step 9
Do the same wrap done around the 4 mm beads but do it around the 6 mm bead and all the 8 mm beads at one time.
Adjust the wire going thru the beads so the wire that is wrap goes right to the start of the loop.

Step 10
Bend the loop on the end of the 20 gauge wire down next to the bead.

Step 11
Bend the part of the wire with the 4 mm beads in an arch up towards the larger beads.
Put an arch in the wire sticking out from the 4 mm beads which kind of follows the arch just put in the wire.

Step 12
About ½ to ¾ inch from the end of the beads bend the wire to one side.
Use pliers to squeeze the bend close together.

Step 13
Open up the bend and curve the wire some.
Cut the end of the wire off about 1 to 1 ½ inches from the where the sharp bend is in the wire.

Step 14
Curl the end of the wire up by where the wire comes out of the beads.
Bend the tip of the scorpion down towards its body.

Step 15
Make an oval in the middle of the wire about the size of 2 8mm beads next to each other.
Put the ends of the wire sticking out of the oval parallel to each other.

Step 16
Take the other 2 wires and bend them in half.
Take one of the long bend wires and put it thru the top of the body between the 2nd and 3rd bead from the front loop.
On the bottom put the bent 20 gauge wire around the wires coming from the top side.

Step 17
Wrap each side of the wire going down thru the body around the bent wire two times.

Step 18
Put the 2nd long wire thru on top of the first one and wrap the ends on each side right next to where the first wire is wrapped.

Step 19
Pick a side to work on.
On each side 2 wires are next to each other, take those wires out to the side and bend up and back towards the body 1 1/8 inches from where it is wrapped around the wire.

Step 20
Wrap both wires together around the 20 gauge wire once.

Step 21
Repeat the bending the two wires using the first one as a length guide 3 more times, wrapping around the 20 gauge wire between each wire leg.
After the last one wrap the wires around twice.

Step 22
Repeat on the other side.

Step 23
Open the loop from the first 20 gauge wire.

Step 24
Put the two wires coming out of the oval into the loop that was opened.
Close the loop with the inside of it.

Step 25
Pick one side to work on.
Take a wire making the legs on one side and bring it to where the wire goes thru the loop.
Wrap it around right next to the loop once.

Step 26
Take the wire on the side being worked on closest to the beads from the wires going around the body.
Bring it down to the wire coming out of the loop and wrap in a way so it goes the opposite way of the last wire wrapped.

Step 27
Repeat the last 2 steps with the remaining 2 wires.

Step 28
Put 4 4mm beads on the 20 gauge wire the 24th gauge wires were just wrapped around.

Step 29
Use the 4 24 gauge wire to wrap the 4 beads like done in steps 4 thru 7.
After wrapping beads cut off the three tail ends closest to the beads and smooth down with pliers.

Step 30
Repeat on the other side.

Step 31
Put a slight arch in the wire coming out of the beads.
About ½ inch from where the 24 gauge wire is wrapped around the 20 gauge bend the wire up and over and crimp with pliers.

Step 32
Gently pull wire open away from the other wire.

Step 33
About ¼ inch from the bend, bend the wire up and over again and crimp closed with pliers.
Gently pull wire apart away from the side the first bend is on.

Step 34
Bend the wire a third time up and over again so the bend is about even with the first bend, pull apart away from in the direction away from the other bends.
On the 24 gauge wire left put 2 4mm beads on it.
Wrap the 24 gauge wire around the 20 gauge right next to the 2nd bend twice.
Cut the 24 gauge wire and smooth with pliers.

Step 35
Take the rest of the 20 gauge wire and wrap around and to the back of where the last two beads start.
Cut off and tuck next to itself.

Step 36
Repeat on the other side.
Bend the pincers in an arch so they look like a scorpions.

Step 37
Grasp one set of wires of the 4 sticking out of one side and twist the wires together.

Step 38
Repeat on the other 7 legs.

Step 39
Bend all the little feet left from twisting the leg wires to about 45 degree angle.
Bend all the legs up.
Put a bend in the leg about ¼ inch from the body to it is sticking out from the body.
Then bend the leg down till it can sit on the ground.

Step 40
Repeat on the other 7 legs.
Adjust the legs to they sit on the ground under the scorpion.
Tweak the scorpion till it sits as desired.
